For over 60 years, the Huachuca Museum Society has been instrumental in Arizona historical preservation, focusing on the rich history of Fort Huachuca, established in 1877 as Camp Huachuca, and the broader military history of Southwest Arizona. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on your support to further our mission and collaborate with groups like the Friends of the San Pedro River to safeguard our invaluable historical resources.
The Friends of the San Pedro River (FSPR), established in 1987, is a dedicated volunteer, non-profit organization focused on the conservation and restoration of the river through advocacy, education, and interpretation. The Friends of the San Pedro River collaborates with the BLM, the land manager of the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area (SPRNCA) and the National Conservation Lands. This organization also aligns with the efforts of the Huachuca Museum Society, emphasizing Arizona historical preservation. The board convenes quarterly in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
